It’s just over a year old and out of warranty. The business owner said that it hadn’t been right from the start and had been impossible for them to get anything done. It’s likely that the hard drive had been faulty from the start, I’ve seen this many times before.
We have removed the faulty mechanical hard drive and replaced it with a 240GB SSD. After fitting this and rebuilding the laptop, windows 10 was reinstalled and the user data was transferred over. Now it’s running a lot better and is a working laptop that should last many more years.
